UCD History
The UCD General Insurance System V1.0 (GIS) was launched in 1991. Due to the
popularity of the GIS, there will seven (7) major release of new versions over
a period
of 16 years. The latest version is UCD General Insurance System V7A specially
designed
for Window 98/NT/2000/XP/Vista operating system.
UCDS Software Computer Enterprise was registered in 1995 as a sole proprietorship
.
In line with the business growth and preparation for business into the next
millennium,
UCD Software Sdn Bhd was registered in 1998 as a private limited company.
Todate there are more than 250 users of the UCD Software applications nationwide
from
Langkawi to Johore and East Malaysia.
In 1990, Alan Wong wrote his first software program for the Used Car Industry
i.e. the UCD Motor Management System V1.0. Since the software was designed
for
the used card dealers, it is no coincidence that the next software to be developed
by
him is the UCD General Insurance System. It was in line with the used car business
as most of the dealers are also general insurance agents.
Our first version of the UCD General Insurance System was developed and marketed
in 1991. Since then we have more than sixteen (16) years developing software
for the insurance industry particularly for the General & Life Insurance Agents.
Our latest version is developed for the Window environment with option to link
to our EMAS Accounting System giving it a comprehensive insurance agency application.
With our experience and knowledge of the industry, we believe that we not
only can
develop but also contribute in terms of ideas and feedback to the project.

Training Unit
We have setup a training unit to
support our existing clients to provide training at our office. A number of
training have already been conducted on our existing software and specific topic
such as "Internet Security", "OpenOffice
Suite" and our Report Writers.
